RURAL FIRE PERSONNEL FOR HIRE

Fire & Rescue New Zealand offers an experienced crew of qualified fire fighters and fire control equipment available to attend and assist Rural Fire Authorities and owners or occupiers of commercial or industrial premises within a few hours of receiving the call.

This service can assist clients to manage extended attack and mop-up operations under your area of responsibility. With just a few hours notice, Fire & Rescue New Zealand can dispatch a Mop-Up and Relief Crew anywhere in New Zealand to battle wildfires.

RURAL FIRE VEHICLES FOR HIRE

In addition to fully equipped and qualified fire control personnel, Fire & Rescue New Zealand’s fleet of Rural Fire vehicles provide an awesome array of fire fighting equipment. Current vehicles include:

• 4WD Toyota Rural Fire Appliance - This vehicles principle role is firefighting, however the vehicle carries a range of tools for all kinds of emergencies, including a HpHv mid-mounted PTO pump, 70 mm, 45 mm, 41 mm and 25 mm hose, firefighting branches, fire extinguishers, McLeod Tolls, Pulaski’s, beaters, Rega’s, Breathing Apparatus (BA), trauma kit, ladder and communications equipment (i.e. cell phone, LMR, Air-to-Air, VHF and PRS).

• 4WD Toyota Landcruiser Smoke Chasers – These vehicles are equipped with a Medical Kit, communications equipment (i.e. cell phone, LMR, Air-to-Air, VHF and PRS), fire extinguishers and a wide selection of fire line-construction hand tools i.e. McLeod Tolls, Pulaski’s, beaters, Rega’s

• Rural Fire Trailers – This trailer is equipped with a 800 Litre water-tank, 345 Litre HELiFIRE Monsoon Bucket, Scotty Foam System, Fleck Foam System, 2 x Wajax Pump kits, Hydroblender, Foam Proportioning system, 6 x 41 mm Hose Pack, extensive variety of nozzles, couplings, breechings and adaptors and a wide selection of fire line-construction hand tools .

• Smoke Chaser Trailers – These trailers are equipped with equipped with a 400 Litre water-tank, high pressure pump, Hydroblender, Foam Proportioning system, hosepacks, spraypacks and and a wide selection of fire line-construction hand tools .

• Pump Trailer – This trailer is equipped with 1 x Rabbit pump kit, 2 x FS11 Pump Kits, 8 x 70 mm Hose and an extensive variety of nozzles, couplings, breechings, adaptors, spraypacks and a wide selection of fire line-construction hand tools.

• Helicopters – Access to 1 x Eurocopter AS350B3 Squirrel,  1 x McDonnell Douglas 500E, 1 x Bell 206 Jet Ranger 206 and 3 x Robinson R44 Raven helicopters, all fitted with HELiMIX Class A Foam Systems and 345, 500 and 900 litre Monsoon Buckets.
