History & Experience
ABOUT FIRE & RESCUE NEW ZEALAND
Fire & Rescue New Zealand is a referral based company which was founded in 1996 and incorporated in September 1997, as a private Rural Fire Service and a New Zealand Qualification Authority Registered and Accredited Tertiary Education Organisation and that remains its principal focus today.
Fire & Rescue New Zealand was born from a clear understanding from industry that a need existed for a professional organisation that draws its educational programmes and operational fire fighting functions from actual fire fighting experience not just a lesson learnt from books and lectures.
Additional expertise was gained during years of service with Rural Fire Authorities, Civil Defence organisations, the New Zealand Fire Service, Ambulance Service, and the Royal Australian Navy, and some of that time at senior officer level. Fire & Rescue New Zealand has been providing specialist wildfire and workplace emergency response services, event fire cover, equipment and NZQA based training (Levels 2–7) to Government and private sector clients for the past 14 years.
Our Vision
