Fire & Rescue New Zealand Charter has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Education Act (Tertiary Reform) Amendment Act 2002.
Our Charter lays out our reasons for being — a more permanent document, with an approximate life of 10 years — and our Profile fleshes out how we plan on implementing our charter, including goals and objectives. Profiles are only good for the period of a year.
Our Charter was first prepared by Fire & Rescue New Zealand and approved by the TEC in 2004 and revised in 2006. The draft Charter was submitted to the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) on Friday 30th June 2006 for consideration and approval by the Associate Minister of Education (Tertiary Education), effective from 01 June 2006 and expires on 31 December 2010.
As Fire & Rescue New Zealand grows we are in the process of continuous evaluation. This means that foundation documents will continue to change and be refined to meet the requirements of the School, Tertiary Education Commission, NZQA and the Ministry of Education.
